This devotional book was inspired by my experience as a Christian woman caught in a twelve-year destructive marriage and then a high-conflict court battle. Many Christian teachings I heard didn’t improve my marriage and didn’t ring true to me as I read Scripture. In fact, many of the teachings made our marriage even worse. The reality was that his words and behaviours were destroying me and our family. As I met women in similar situations, I realized that our husbands weren’t ordinary sinners. I want to bring a message of hope and validation to women in or escaping destructive marriages.
